Bluestone announces the appointment of a new Chief Customer Officer, James Angus

Bluestone has announced the appointment of James Angus as Chief Customer Officer, who will play a key role in the implementation of Bluestone’s long-term growth strategy while continuing to deliver the best possible outcomes for our broker partners. Bluestone’s Royden D’Vaz will transition out of his role of Head of Sales.

Mr Angus is an accomplished financial services executive with 20+ years of home lending experience in Australia, Canada, and the United States. Prior to joining Bluestone, James had a successful 16-year career at Macquarie Bank. As Co-Head of Personal Banking Intermediaries, James set the sales strategy for third party mortgage distribution and was responsible for generating growth from brokers and other intermediaries.

Following the announcement, Bluestone’s Chief Executive Officer, Campbell Smyth thanked Mr D’Vaz for his service. “I’d like to pay tribute to the tremendous contributions that Royden has made to Bluestone over the past 5 years,” Mr Smyth said.

“The strategy we articulated is focused on positioning Bluestone to be truly broker centric. As we look to the future, it’s important to remember what an exciting journey we are on at Bluestone with strong growth in home loans, investment in our platform and partnership with our aggregators and brokers,” he said.

James Angus commences his CCO role at Bluestone on Tuesday 29th October.
