The role:

Are you ready to support transformative change within the heart of our product ecosystem? We’re seeking a dynamic and visionary Core Product Owner to spearhead our journey towards innovation and excellence. Reporting to the Head of Transformation, you’ll be the conduit between Product and Technology and play a pivotal role in shaping our product transformation roadmap and steering our core squad towards achieving unparalleled product and business outcomes!

Your Mission:

  • Crafting the Vision: Translate the product roadmap into a compelling squad vision and delivery roadmap, spanning across various domains such as core lending platform, collections, customer service, and more.
  •  Feature Champion: Advocate for product features, guiding the squad in efficient design and delivery while balancing business outcomes and engineering investment.
  •  Customer-Centric Leadership: Possess a profound understanding of our customers and business opportunities, leading the squad to design strategic solutions that resonate.
  • Holistic Development: Contribute to the product development and extension roadmap by fostering a flexible core lending and supporting ecosystem through innovative design and delivery approaches.
  • Agile Excellence: Lead the squad with best-in-class agile practices, ensuring high-velocity delivery with exceptional quality and stakeholder engagement.
  • Backlog Optimization: Coordinate the backlog to optimise delivery against the roadmap, identifying opportunities to scale our business through simplification, digitization, or automation.

Your Experience:

You’ll have a proven track record (5+ years) as a Product Owner and be adept at leading squads in complex financial services product features across multiple tech stacks. Additionally, you will bring the following skills and expertise:

  • Extensive experience in financial services, with a deep understanding of lending products and financial literacy (exposure to Mambu, Katabat and NextGen desirable)
  •  In-depth knowledge of and experience in using Agile processes and principles and ability to lead sprints and ceremonies.
  • Sound technical understanding and ability to engage in meaningful and insightful conversations with our development teams..
  • Strong prioritisation and problem-solving skills, outstanding communication and leadership abilities, excellent organisational and time management capabilities, sharp analytical mindset, and attention to detail.
  • A creative thinker with a vision for driving impactful change and innovation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or similar relevant field
