Mark Jones

Mark Jones

Chief Executive Officer

Mark Jones joined Bluestone in the role of CEO in August 2023. With an extensive background in the financial services industry, Mark brings a wealth of experience through his distinguished career spanning the Global Banks in Asia, Big 4 and FinTech Lending sectors.

Mark’s leadership as the CEO of SocietyOne secured a remarkable seven-fold increase in originations within a four year period, underscoring Mark’s ability to drive substantial growth. During his tenure there, he oversaw a comprehensive overhaul of marketing and digital capabilities to deliver improved customer experience and outcomes.  He spearheaded the upgrading of credit policies and practices, pricing, launch of the broker channel and transition to warehouse funding that played a pivotal role in moving the company toward sustained profitability.  Mark has a strong understanding of the mortgage market from when he was responsible for Citibank mortgages business in Australia.

Mark’s customer-centric focus and track record of driving growth and profitability puts him in a position to shape Bluestone’s future and build its position as a leader in the non-bank sector.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the esteemed Macquarie Graduate School of Management.
Tristan Sander

Tristan Sander

Chief Technology Officer

Tristan joined Bluestone in the role of CTO in July 2024. With a wealth of knowledge across data, analytics, architecture and cloud services, Tristan brings his demonstrable experience across numerous industry verticals, having helped grow Australia’s largest data focussed consultancy for the last 11 years.
As Regional Partner for NSW, at Servian, Tristan was able to continually grow the consulting footprint, revenue and sales across the region. This included support for functions such as Sales, Marketing, Talent Acquisition, IT and Delivery. Tristan was the lead cloud architect for many successful greenfield customer platforms and led the internal AWS partnership for many years. Along with supporting his customers, Tristan helped spearhead Servian’s NZ acquisition and led the IT M&A activities to successfully incorporate multiple businesses.
Tristan’s experience supporting company growth, through a customer first approach, strong data insights and IT automation, provides the skills to drive Bluestone’s digital transformation and develop the business as a leader in the non-bank sector.
Tristan holds an Undergraduate in Computer Science and a Masters of Business Management from MGSM.
Graham Lello

Graham Lello

Chief Financial Officer

Graham joined Bluestone in August 2024 and brings to the business a broad financial skillset with particular expertise in financial management, business operations and investment execution. Graham has held board and C-suite positions in both public and private companies, most recently as CFO of the ASX listed diversified financial services business MA Financial Group. In this role Graham oversaw a ten-fold growth in both revenue and assets whilst having responsibility for all aspects of finance, treasury and capital management. Graham also led initiatives to set up and grow a multibillion-dollar private credit funds management business and directed the M&A activities which created a direct lending platform.

In his previous role as CFO at private equity owned Redcape Hotel Group, Graham was responsible for all finance, funding and risk management functions and ultimately led the sale and successful exit of the business. After beginning his career in South Africa with a large multinational corporation, Graham moved to the United Kingdom and spent twelve years in a global private investment office. In 2009 Graham relocated to Australia to lead the restructure and turnaround of a conglomerate incorporating a national wealth advisory firm, residential house builder and various property interests.

Jenny Ronald

Jenny Ronald joined as Bluestone’s Chief Product Officer from November 2023. With a proven history of driving rapid product-led transformations, Jenny has navigated the dynamic landscapes of both fast-growing fintech lenders, such as Athena Home Loans, and major banks such as CBA, Citibank, and Westpac.

Most recently at Athena Home Loans, Jenny spearheaded a transformative product enhancement roadmap, propelling the business into new growth dimensions. Her achievements include diversifying the loan portfolio from a single vanilla basic variable rate to the successful launch of three distinct loan products targeting new market segments. She orchestrated the introduction of multiple major product features, developed four mobile apps, and was instrumental in building a strategic white-label partnership with Mortgage Choice.

Jenny is driven by a passion for digital transformation and business optimisation, aiming to elevate experiences for both customers and staff. Her unique blend of enthusiasm for innovation, commercial acumen, technology and extensive knowledge of home loans, including a deep understanding of Line 1 risk, positions her as a key architect of optimal product solutions.

Jenny holds a Bachelor of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of Technology, Sydney.

Tony MacRae

Tony MacRae

Tony MacRae assumed the role of Chief Sales Officer at Bluestone in August 2023 with a wealth of experience in financial services, including a decade with the Westpac Group as Acting CEO of RAMS and GM Third Party Distribution at Westpac.

Tony has an industry-wide reputation of successful execution of sales initiatives, driving strategic direction, building partnerships, and leading teams to strong business growth. Tony leads Bluestone’s efforts to ensure our broker partners are best positioned to help more customers.

For the last ten years, Tony has been a board member and Treasurer of the Royal Flying Doctor Service South Eastern Section.
Tony has a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University.
Milos Ilic-Miloradovic

Milos Ilic-Miloradovic

Treasurer

Milos joined us in February 2022 as the Treasurer and is responsible for the company’s public & private funding programmes. He came to Bluestone from Natixis, where he was responsible for the Australian structured credit solutions business for three years. Prior to this he was with Macquarie in both the UK and Australia across securitisation as well as corporated debt structuring and distribution.

Milos holds a Bachelor of Arts & Bachelor of Commerce (Hons Finance) from UNSW and brings twelve years of debt arranging, structuring, advisory and execution experience across multiple products (with a focus on residential mortgage backed securities) across Australia, Europe, Japan and the US.

Chief People Officer

Helen joined Bluestone in March 2023 to lead the People and Culture function.   In this role, Helen is focused on creating a people strategy that supports Bluestone’s strategic objectives, and creating an environment where our people can be their best.

Helen brings over 20 years of Human Resources experience gained from a variety of local and global organisations.   Helen’s most recent role was leading the Asia Pacific People team for Civica, a global software company, and supporting the business through a period of transformation and growth.

Helen holds a Master of Commerce from the University of NSW and an Applied Science degree from the University of Sydney.

Martin Barter joined Bluestone in January 2024 as Chief Risk Officer. Martin brings a wealth of experience spanning 35+ years in the financial services sector (Banking and Insurance) in risk management, credit policy and analytics, sales management, business strategy development and planning and operational transformation at  Senior Executive and Board level both domestically and internationally.

Martin has a track record of exceeding goals and transforming businesses to optimise their potential. He is a strong communicator and accomplished leader of people with experience in the development of organizational scaffolding and passionate around people development.

Martin has held a number of Board positions, both locally and overseas and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors

Head of Originations

Robert Westgarth joined Bluestone Mortgages in December 2023 as the Head of Originations.  Robert has extensive experience (35+ years) in the finance industry working in senior roles at various domestic and global institutions and a number of start ups and turnaround companies. Robert’s background extends to all areas of credit and risk management covering originations, loan management, collections and policy formulation.  Robert has held a number of Board positions, both public and private companies and has a Bachelor Degree in Economics at Macquarie University.

Nicole Avery joined Bluestone as Chief Marketing Officer in January 2024, bringing a wealth of experience in brand development, marketing and CX across a number of industries including health, entertainment and over 5 years, fintech and lending. Overseeing both broker and borrower communications, brand, media, research, events, PR and digital experience to deliver growth in originations and brand sustainability.
